Finally Kraftwerk has received a worthy BBC film documentary, but without an actual statement from Ralf Hütter, the only remaining member bez. founder of the band founded in 1968. "Hütter" or internationally better communicated "Hutter" will reach seven/zero in 2016! Robots age as well known only in the exchange of the parts. Kraftwerk will probably not live to see this, and so Kraftwerk has long since reached death, purely in terms of content, important prophecies of the future are missing from their catalog, such as the imminent revolution in biotechnology or energy production. But they don't have to prove themselves anymore, because their work and vision is unique in the history of music. "I am the musician with calculator in hand" hits the nerve of the current time perfectly and the intelligent robots are just coming. In addition, Kraftwerk was always a band that romanticized technology. The images are clearly structured and futuristic, their melodies tend to be thoughtful but hopeful, which results in an idiosyncratic communication. In fact, Kraftwerke belongs more in the gallery than on the stage, and so one day there will be a concert with 4 Robots, which the founders will watch smiling from another dimension. Kraftwerk will then be immortal!

Endlich hat Kraftwerk eine würdige BBC-Film-Dokumentation erhalten, allerdings ohne ein aktuelles Statement von Ralf Hütter, dem einzigen noch verbleibenden Mitglied bez. Gründer der 1968 gegründeten Band. "Hütter" oder international besser kommuniziert "Hutter" wird 2016 die sieben/null erreichen! Roboter altern ja bekanntlich nur im Austausch der Teile. Dies wird Kraftwerk wohl nicht mehr erleben und so hat Kraftwerk rein inhaltlich gesehen schon lange den Tod erreicht, fehlen doch wichtige Zukunftsprophezeiungen in ihrem Katalog wie zum Beispiel die bevorstehende Revolution der Biotechnik oder Energiegewinnung. Sie müssen sich aber auch nicht mehr beweisen , den Ihre Arbeit und Vision ist einmalig in der Musikgeschichte. "Ich bin der Musikant mit Taschenrechner in der Hand" trifft den Nerv der aktuellen Zeit perfekt und die intelligenten Roboter kommen ja erst. Zudem war Kraftwerk immer auch eine Band, welche die Technik romantisiert hat. Die Bilder sind klar strukturiert und futuristisch, ihre Melodien tendenziell nachdenklich aber hoffnungsvoll, was eine eigenArtige Kommunikation ergibt. Tatsächlich gehört Kraftwerke eher in die Galerie als auf die Bühne und so wird eines Tages ein Konzert mit 4 Roboter stattfinden, das die Gründern schmunzelnd aus einer anderen Dimension beobachten werden. Kraftwerk ist dann unsterblich!

Max Berlin

French, do it better! Mais no: les Belges! One could think it was Serge Gainsbourg who talks lasciviously into the microphone. But no, not a Frenchman, but Max Berlin aka Jean-Pierre Cerrone from 1978! "Dream Disco" probably does not mean anything to many people. Nevertheless, there was this genre a short time. The song was produced by the brother of Jean-Marc Cerrone, who in turn worked a lot with Giorgio Moroder (I feel Love). Rare single by the way and very sexy!

Bobby Womack " The Bravest Man Of The Universe"

You may say: "nothing new, the album came out in spring 2012" Yes, but Bobby Womack has not released a new album for more than 18 years, so you can still report about it a year later, we think, because Bobby Womack is not just anyone: the first hit of the Rollings Stones came from his hand, which brought him the entry into the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll. The creative break was interrupted only by chance by Blur frontman Damon Albarn, because he hired Bobby Womack as a guest singer for two songs for the Gorillaz album "Plastic Beach". Man kann sagen: "nichts neues, das Album kam doch schon im Frühjahr 2012 raus" Ja stimmt, doch Bobby Womack hat auch über 18 Jahre lang kein neues mehr veröffentlicht, da darf man dann auch ein Jahr später noch freudig darüber berichten, finden wir, denn Bobby Womack ist ja nicht irgendwer: der erste Hit von den Rollings Stones stammt aus seiner Hand, was Ihm den Einzug in the Hall of Fame des Rock and Roll brachte. Die Kreativpause wurde nur per Zufall von Blur-Frontmann Damon Albarn unterbrochen, weil er als Gastsänger Bobby Womack für zwei Songs für das Gorillaz Album "Plastic Beach" anheurte. Die Arbeiten verliefen so fruchtbar, das die Co-Produktion für die Zusammenarbeit eines ganzes Album reichte. Wer ist den nun "the bravest Man of The Universe?" Dillon

Dillon, the 26 year old exceptional artist with Brazilian roots, understands very well how to reduce minimalist arrangements so that her voice comes into its own. This is about not easy, but proves that your voice gets full attention in this solitude, because an insecure voice could never ever do that. This is also what makes Dillon: solid voice meets reduced arrangement, which may well be at the feet of Detroit techno, but not only. Also the piano is again and again important mainstay. Darkness meets bright shreds of light to disappear again in the infinity of dark matter - just beautiful!

Dillon, die 26 jährige Ausnahmekünstlerin mit brasilianischen Wurzeln, versteht es sehr gut, minimalistische Arrangements so zu reduzieren, das Ihre Stimme zur vollen Geltung kommt. Das ist etwa nicht einfach, sondern beweist, das Ihre Stimme in dieser Einsamkeit vollste Aufmerksamkeit bekommt, denn eine unsichere Stimme könnte das nie und nimmer. Das ist es auch, was Dillon ausmacht: solide Stimme trifft auf reduzierte Arrangement, welche durchaus dem Detroit-Techno zu Füssen liegen darf, aber nicht nur. Auch das Piano ist immer wieder wichtiges Standbein. Dunkelheit trifft auf helle Lichtfetzen, um wieder in der Unendlichkeit der dunklen Materie zu entschwinden - einfach nur schön!

None of them

None of them will keine von Ihren eigenen Wiederholung sein, also erfinden sie sich immer wieder neu und experimentieren mit dem Sound und den Arrangements. Das gelingt ganz gut und so dominiert auf dem aktuellen Album "one of them" neben Electronica, Gitarren, Stimmen und Drums auch immer wieder ein gekonntes Bassspiel! Überhaupt kommt das ganz ziemlich "unzürcherisch" daher und könnte durchaus einer britischen urbanen Umgebung entsprungen sein - ist es aber nicht!

None of them does not want to be one of their own repetition, so they reinvent themselves again and again and experiment with the sound and arrangements. This succeeds quite well and so dominates on the current album "one of them" in addition to electronica, guitars, voices and drums, again and again a skillful bass playing! In general, it comes across quite "un-Zürcherisch" and could well have sprung from a British urban environment - but it is not!
