Taxi Girl existed between 1978 and 1986 and consisted of the masterminds Daniel Darc and Mirwais. Daniel Darc is still no stranger to France, having worked with Serge Gainsbourg and Etienne Daho, among others.

Mirwais is also likely to have caught the eye of some in our circles, as he produced the album “Music” for Madonna, for example. Cab Girl were pioneers of electronic music in France and fitted in very well with the New Romantic movement. The official version of the title “Paris” is very censored or muzzled.
