The mysterious South African rap-rave duo Die Antwoord formed in Cape Town in 2008 and consists of Watkin Tudor “Ninja” Jones and Anri “Yolandi Visser” du Toit, as well as producer HITEK5000.
The band combines musical styles such as rap, drum & bass and electro with lyrics ranging from social criticism to satire. Their music reflects the diversity of South African cultures and gives an insight into the life of the underclass in the social hotspots of South Africa's suburbs.
