Primal Scream - Autobahn 66

Primal Scream are one of the most diverse and unpredictable bands in British music. With “Autobahn 66”, a track from their 2006 album “Riot City Blues”, they once again show how effortlessly they blend raw rock’n’roll with psychedelic touches and rebellious energy.

The song feels like a wild road trip through neon-lit highways — gritty, hypnotic, and full of drive. Led by Bobby Gillespie, the band is known for constantly reinventing their sound. After the dance-fueled “Screamadelica” and the political fury of “XTRMNTR,” they returned to a more guitar-driven, bluesy rock with “Riot City Blues.” “Autobahn 66” stands out as a driving anthem — distorted riffs, pulsing rhythm, and a visceral sense of freedom. The title plays cheekily with German clichés — fast roads, endless journeys, a touch of Kraftwerk meeting Rolling Stones attitude. As always, Primal Scream stay true to their core: loud, bold, untamed — and absolutely worth the ride.
